I have to agree with the idea of just getting a good radar detector.
That being said, you'll have to get the V1. The directional arrows do help sometimes. Like if there's a weak signal from behind you, then keep doing whatever you're doing. With another detector, you'd freak out because all you'd get is a beep and you'd have to slow down not knowing where it's coming from.

    Get

    the

    V1.

    End of story.

Or don't. I mean, ultimately it is your decision, but if you get a ticket with the passport, you know we'll give you shit for it so long as you are on car forums ;)

Bell remote rocks. I like that it can't get stolen (easily) and is not a temptation to break in. It's not seen by others (incl police) behind me, and even if stopped I get a warning because they don't think I have a detector and if they had seen it they would possilby not give warning. Mind you I haven't gotten a warning in like 20 years but I got a bunch of them when I was younger. I have had bel remote since 1987 (815STiR is my 3rd) and only 1 ticket, pulled right in front of a cop and floored it in my 540 and brought it up to 25 over

Check out the clean install, I will take pics of the receiver behind the grill soon. It's more powerful than smaller units as well. Works VERY well.

that looks like a really clean set up, do you also have a radar receiver on the back of the car?

We dont live in a shanti, but like, we have tornadoes in Kansas, and if one were to wipe out our house and it were to crumble onto the car, we have a hotub over the garage in the master bath, which is a lot of weight to come crashing down onto the car. Cause if i had storm damage, the storm isnt really touching the car, its touching the house then which crushes the car.

How much is your detector franz?

Buy a custom burnt chip with a speed limiter. No more tickets. (at least on the highway :P)
