    What is this?

So my search for my battery drain has brought an unexpected turn. The drain was around 3A off of Fuse 21. I disconnected the power antenna and the drain dropped to 200mA, still too much. I noticed that whenever I reconnect the battery I hear a noise coming from the power antenna area. The antenna is completely disconnected (as far as I can tell) but there is something that sits in front of it that seems to be making noise almost every time i reconnect the battery. It's kind of like a 'clicking' sound. Here are the pics:

The car used to have an anti theft system, could this be a part of that? Central locking maybe? I have the premium sound kit, if that makes a difference. How do I go about disconnecting it/fixing the battery draining it seems to be causing.

I think that the factory amp is back in there. But i don't know if that would drain your batt.

I thought that is where some of the central locking stuff was at on one of mine.

That is one thing that I suspect. My central locking doesn't work either.

The amplifier for premium sound systems is back there. The central locking computer is in front/driverside next to the speaker.

Some of the components of the check panel for lighting is back there too. By check panel I mean the chips that will illuminate the red LEDs in the cabin if your license plate light, etc. is out.

An amp will cause a draw on your battery, nearly any electrical device can if it malfunctions. Newer BMWs have problems with fans, final stages for the blower motors and a host of other things, diagnosing this stuff can be quite a headache some times.

So general consensus is the Factory Amp? Hmm... Sounds like it might be a problem with my sound system of both my antenna and amp are draining the battery.
