Thanky. I like it purty good too. It is a work in progress and the "to do" list is a long one. I may be skipping the suspension for a while in order to do an M-tech 2 kit. Man, I love these little cars. Are they not the most fun you've ever had?

Shadowlining refers to the process of painting the chrome window trim black.
        Thanks buddy! :P

What paint did you use? My new e30 needs it, it appears someone made a poor attempt at doing it once.

I agree with your car being beautiful. What rims are those? If it were me, I'd do the suspension and skip the Mtech body stuff (it looks too good already to mess it up).

Here is the Before/After Shadowline on my car. I think it made a huge difference in the looks. (Sorry 56K)

              Before:

              After:

Like I said before i'm getting a few chips where i couldn't "scuff" up the surface enough like in the corners and such. I would love to do it over again but first learning how to take off the trim.

Yes, yes I did. SEM brand trim paint. 2 cans. Weston, removing the trim is not too bad. It can be aggravating :curse: , and somewhat time consuming, but the end result is worth it. I especially like the shadowline on red cars because there is more contrast. Like I said before, I really really hope it holds up as I don't want to repeat this process.

I thought you were completely shadowlined before. Ill have to get my old photo of your car anc double check. It looks really good. Making me think I may want to refinish my wheels in all silver. I wish I would have taken the time and effort to paint my trim off the car. Also, I have since added the front and rear window lockstrips to finish off the car, and it looks much better than in my sig. I still trying to figure out what to do with my button for the pop-out window. You later style guys dont have to worry about that.

It looks really awesome, cant wait to see what you do next.

Yeah, it was faux shadowlined. Now I am official. I had detailer's tape on it before, installed by the previous owner. He was too lazy to do it right. J/K Eric :D

I really wanted to do it right, but couldn't figure out how to get the trim off without bending it. I practiced on a few junkyard cars before, then decided i would just do it with it still on the car.

hey fellas, when I do my trim, I'll take pics or video or sumthin when i am removing it so more peeps can actually SEE how it's removed. I have never taken all of it off before, just poked at it a lil bit.
