Anyone have this cell phone? Sony-Ericsson T610

My cell phone met with an untimeley death. It was in my pants when I threw them in the washing machine. Needless to say, it's DEAD. I'd been looking for an excuse to buy a new cell phone, and this little incident pushed it to the top of my to-do list.

I decided I was sick of always just having the enty-level phones that suck and end up breaking in 6 months, and went for the big guns. I've read countless reviews on this phone, and have been hard pressed to find a bad one. In fact, most of the few bad ones I did find sounded like they were written by people who'd never even used a cell phone before. I've never been one for the whole "camera-phone" thing, but I bet I will end up using it more than I think I will. Overall, it looks great, and sounds like it's a very solid unit.

T-Mobile. It's made for them I think, because it has the SIM-card thing in it.

Don't all phones have SIM cards? I have the T-616 with Cingular, pretty good phone.

I don't think they all do. I know that Sprint, Cellular One and US Cellular don't. I think it's only a few companies that do.

            I'd recomend this one:

            It's $250 from T-mobile but $99 from Amazon.com

My friend just bought it and he really likes it. It's finally a flip phone with no damn external antenna.

              I HATE flip-phones.

I personally prefer flip phones, but it looks like a decent phone to me. Cingular, AT&T, T-Mobile and Nextel all use SIM cards. Probably more. Verizon does not.

It's too big. And the external antenna sucks.

I have the phone just prior to that one minus the camera. Reception is not that great, but it work awesome in Europe and the rest of the world as I have global service on my phone so my wife can call me when ever she wants.

I also have a US sim card I put in for when I'm in the US. So I have 2 number for the same phone and I do prepaid on one and contract service on the other line. It also communicates with my Compaq Ipaq that I got from work.

                        Taras bro has it.

My opinion is much like that of japanese car's interiors:

                        cheap plasticky crap

My roommate in Indiana has that phone, i used it quite a few time and the reception was pretty good. It took some decent pics too. He was able to get his pretty much free cuz he knew the people that worked at the local Cingular. But since its going through T-Mobile i dont know if that will change the phones reception. I'd buy it.

Dont know if that helps but there ya go.

ive got the T630 .. the replacement to the 610

absolutely dope phones .. the 610 is awesome too, but the 630 has a more advanced display apparently. Once u get used to the menu system, i was always a Nokia user, it is far superior... the camera is pretty much useless, but is god to take happy snaps and other pics where quality isnt important ... get one, NOW!

i have that phone and i do not like it very much. The interface is confusing, and hard yo navigate. But on the positive that phone takes ok pictures and if you look you can get it pretty cheap.
