Flywheel shouldn't cost ya more than $50... I had my M30 piece done for $25!

Definitely shop for wheels and don't limit yourself to one specific wheel if possible. There are tons of cool looking wheels for these cars, you may have to run spacers and that's not a big deal. Good luck!

And I'll say it one more time just to say it, suspension first! woot! lol

Either Konis and IE 3s, or Bilstein Sports and H&Rs. I'm running the latter on my E28, and I plan on running the first option on my E30 as soon as I get my ass a job!

are you doing all the labor yourself?
you'll need to rebalance your car after lowering, too. figure that in.

did you already replace the rear seals on your motor?
might figure that when you pull your tranny, if you haven't

$300 for euro weaves is going to take some looking, just to give you a heads up. run a search on my name for ronals, if you decide that's the way you want to go...

in fact, when I do the shoot of the cabbie this week, I'll grab my wife and her sedan so you can see how the ronals sit, too. everyone I've met, no matter how nice their rides, really appreciate her sedan. you'll like it, I'm sure.
Das ist nicht nur nicht richtig, es ist nicht einmal falsch!

Dude what are you talking about?

I just realized your car was a vert, so some of this list won't apply. I posted the part numbers so you had them and I wasn't about to take 20 minutes deleting them from my cut and paste. To me suspension means way more than shocks, springs, and sways. Are all of your bushings and tie rods in good shape? If you don't know start there before you spend money on fancy wheels. if this is the case good luck on doing it for under $1100. Last time I try to help.

You asked what would I fix with $2000 dollars and I just gave you a thorough parts list of what I'm doing. It took a ton of time putting that together, research Etc. I just asked people to pm me if there were any suggestions. This is at least a base of what you'll need to refresh your suspension, You may have to check the part numbers. If I were you I'd thank me a few times. If you have no idea why this list is useful maybe you should go to E Bay and click buy it now on the Tokico Spring/Shock package and call it a day.

thank you thank you thank you, sorry if i seemed like an ass, my bad.

              Hardtop. Good one. one day.

my suspension is fine, pwr steering system is good. leaky a little, but good. my control arms are fine.
i would get the small hardware parts too..
and i dont think 1100 is a bad price.
that includes sprigns shocks swaybars and mounting, shock mounts, hardware, and a strut bar.

and i really like those ronal LS. is there anything similar to them maybe BBS.

If you're getting that much back from taxes, you are paying too much to begin with.

Take 1000 bucks, fix all wearable items, include a roll bar in that 1000 bucks.

Take the other 1000, and go to driving school

I just ordered all of the 5 lug conversion parts(minus the brakes) and other misc. goodies from the dealer for $2000.

I would tend to the mechanics firsthand. It sucks to have bitchin rims and being stranded on the side of the road because of a mechanical issue.

After that i would do Bilteins/eibachs or H&R's or IE's springs and brand new bushings everywhere. To me it's one of the best bang for the buck mod/improvement on the ol' E30.

If you got some cash left hit the yard for a valence upgrade.

And last but not least keep an eye out on the classified section here..you never know what will steal your sleep.

I second that motion !!!2000.00 should be a nice suspension overhaul...Bilsteins, H&R's add lemforder tie rods and ball joints (replceable if you have a press)....CAB's and all the other bushings....

                              We call that "hood rich."

I'm with the general consensus, refresh all common wear items everywhere and all the little things that go wrong on E30s.
