Man I don't know what happened it all seems so unlikely, but all I know my bumper was on the car and is now no longer there. Yeah I got a hold of Home depot and they are supposed to call me back tomorrow. Thanks for keeping your eye out guys.

I do have one question how did you miss this when you approached the car?

e30s are like fat girls that USED to be hot, you just gotta work them out to make them hot again.

i would pursue any tapes that Home Depot has. Unfortunately the quality on those is usually less than stellar. It would be helpful to find teh make of car that stole it, etc. If it fell off the car you should be able to retrace your steps to and from HD and see it busted up on the side of the road. I doubt that it just fell off, but keep your eyes open when you drive to HD next.

Yeah I retraced my exact steps like 30 minutes after I found it to be missing. Than I tried to retrace them the next morning when it was light out. I find it alot more likely that I got it stolen :(

Unless it might have fallen off it was stolen BEFORE you got to HD. Hopefully they can let you see the video. Even if you cannot see the theif or the car that they were driving, at least you can see whether or not you had a bumper when you pulled into the parking lot or if someone was screwing around near your car for that hour that you were inside of the store.

I realize that a theif will steal anything, however, I cannot imagine that someone who is an E30 collector or an enthusiast would steal parts off of another car in order to complete his car. Or at least if they stole the parts, they wouldn't do it in broad daylight.

the area where his car was parked is especially bad for car thefts, breakins, etc. my friends used to live across the street, they liked to call it "car theft alley". it's right between two major shopping centers (also prime targets for thieves), bellis fair and sunset square.

Places like "theft alley" would be a good place to put a bait car.

I know exactly were you are talking about. That is part of the reason I only have a tape deck in my eta and keep nothing valuable in it. My car is parked in a parking lot like 10 min walk from my dorm. Always Double locked..

                                Casatration...

Every day I wake up we drink a lot of coffee and watch the CNN
Every day I wake up to a bowl of clover honey and let the locusts fly in.
                                Lobsterbacks attack the town again
Wrap all my things in aluminum
Beams of darkness streak across the sky
Pink rays from the ancient satellite
Every time I look out my window same three dogs looking back at me.
Every time I open my windows cranes fly in to terrorize me.
