    Showing the e30

Hey guys.. I will be showing my e30 at a car show beginning of March. Any tips anyone can lend me about car shows? Any little details I need to take attention to on my car before then?

The only visual upgrade my car has since (pic in sig) is a custom made towhook for the front. I was thinking to put little arrows on the Front and Rear bumper to point to the towhooks to make it more 'racey' lol... any lil tips liek that, or even cleaning or detailing, something of the sort would be appreciated. Thanks!

Edit.. LOL forgot I changed my sig recently, so the towhook is there!

detail it. how's your engine bay? I don't know how much attention an old E30 would get at a car show full of neon lights, sparkly pearl paint jobs and 30" chrome wheels, but maybe if you car is super clean people will be impressed by a "new" looking old BMW.

but maybe that's just what I'd do, because I'm crazy enough to do something like claybar my door jambs.. :p

the tow hook thing and stickers... well, I don't think anyone is going to notice anything that small. in fact, you might get people asking you why there's something sticking out from your bumber.. kinda silly isn't it?

Well of the group I am going in with, (mostly Vdubs) there are 3 e30s and one e36. The one e30 is also an 88, but with diving boards. The other has the Rieger GTS kit. So mines kinda in the middle.

Ya my engine bay is clean but the paint on the manifold and valve cover is hurting.. I may end up redoing that. I doubt that the hood will be open anyways... :P

It's all in the details. Clean every nook and kranny of your car. Armor All your hoses, weather strips, and any thing else that is dull and could shine. What kind of car show is it? A local cruise with mixed cars or a import kind of show? I only seen one e30 at a car show from all of the car shows that i've been at. And i've been going to car shows since i was 6 years old. Granted that i didn't know what a e30 was till a year ago, but i did know what a BMW was and never seen one at a event. But lately there has been alot of cars from the 80's poping up at the shows/cruises. And as for the tow hook, someone mite walk by and hit their leg on it.

EDIT: This is my 666 post

How about hooking up a tow truck to your tow hook? That would emphasize them more than an arrow decal.

^^LOL its a ricer show dude... Just trying to make the stock looking e30 not stick out like a sore thumb THAT much hahhaaa... Its just blending in :)

Actually this show is all kinds of cars. Drag racers, Ricers, ol' American Iron, etc etc.. Performance World is the show BTW.

E30 Reaktionar - good call on the Armour-Alling of the weather strips. Thanks!

                Cheers!

Looks good. Don't forget the wheel wells, spray tire-wet or Armor All to make them black. Got any other pictures from the show?
