    Finally got an E30.

If some of you were wondering why I was asking about s50 swap info before even owning an E30, it's because I let a friend of mine drive my E36 M3 and he drove it a small cliff and flipped it.

So I decided after that incident, that I'll buy an E30. I decided on this because I figured the performance I could get out of an E30 would surpass what my M3 once was at a cheaper cost. And since I'm a college student, cheaper is better;-) .

So I just bought one from a forum member here. It was my first time in an E30 and I was pleasantly surprised on how well it handled with just sport spring/shocks and how quick it was. Got me thinking how crazy a cam'd S50 is going to be, especially with the 3.73 diff. (3.15 in my M3)

I'll be taking it to PIR next weekend to give it a true test8)

Well, here's my car before and after the crash and my new E30. (Previous owner is having the front lip re-painted, hence why it's missing)

Glad your okay. Hope the e30 doesn't meet the same demise.

Every day I wake up we drink a lot of coffee and watch the CNN
Every day I wake up to a bowl of clover honey and let the locusts fly in.
    Lobsterbacks attack the town again
Wrap all my things in aluminum
Beams of darkness streak across the sky
Pink rays from the ancient satellite
Every time I look out my window same three dogs looking back at me.
Every time I open my windows cranes fly in to terrorize me.

I will be the sole driver of this car. Seriously, no one can be trusted these days. You'd think a married 26 year old would be more conservative, especially one with no track experience.

Nice car. Get some sticky rubber for it and some EVO hood seals to seal up that CF hood real nice like.

The previous owner is getting it re-painted and will ship it out to me.

Don't worry, I'm planning on getting a set of track wheels and run 245 RA-1's all around. Not sure what I want to rock on the street yet, though. Something with a lip and gold/bronze center.:)

I'll look into the hood seals. Is there any other advantage to this other then keeping water/dirt out?

                      A cam'd s50 will be a very nice setup in a e30.

I might have some 16" x 7" Konig Remembers (BBS RS replicas), polished lips with gold centers, available in a few weeks.

To the best of my knowledge, they seal off all airflow out/in the sides of the hood, improving the car's aerodynamics a teensy bit.

Might also help keep the hood (especially a thin CF hood) from bending at high speeds, but I'm no physicist.
