Haltec is powerful, but atleast with the E6-A, it was quite a wire job, and the software was DOS-based.

Again, my consensus for a mild turbo or "all-motor" engine is a piggyback. The best thing Erik can do is go out and talk to shops, tell them what he plans on doing to the car, and see what their solution is. If you're going to have a shop install and tune the ECU, its best to stick with something the shop is comfortable with.

Haltec all the way. I've used it on various different cars and never let me down.

Nothing to do with managment, but I've been experimenting with aquamist
and my Haltec, and it's really good stuff, you might wanna look into it after
you get a stand alone or a piggy back.

I say stick to piggybacks, especially if this is a street car which it is. Get yourself an SMT-6 or something. The SMT-6 is VERY powerful for a piggyback. You can tune ignition and fuel with it and it's cheap! You can also install and tune it yourself. Most standalones are overkill for streetcars, IMO.

but what is the SMT-6 Software like? one of the reasons i have my sights set on the TEC3 is that the software is very easy to use.
