    Exhaust finally installed.

Well I finally got the cat-back exhaust installed with the major help of a good friend and his impact tools! My site has a little more info on the install and the issues that came up, but nothing major. It took about 3 hours to do, as most time was spent getting the old nuts off and mounting position. It's still a touch off, but hard to tell. Anyway, see what you think :)! Sounds is beginning to open up and I hope to have some sound on that soon...

Well, the M badge is another story, as I never put it on myself. It's been on the car since it was bought in Germany. And yep, it's the wrong side I know.

Ok guy's where is the crazy comments that this car needs? No one noticed not even King Jordan hehe.

Old bumpers and big tail lights, Hmmm what year car is that? Odd ball modified to pass DOT spec due to grey market?

What is the history on this car?

I think its an 88, as some of the 88s had the old bumpers but new taillights...

                  I'm assuming that it's an '88.

Ha. Greg you always crack me up. (But those years can get confusing. Like me reading about E30s in german or brit mags)

Word on the euro plate filler. You could sell that Mtech-II wing and get a Mtech-I and an euro plate filler probably. (Hopefully)

Ditch the badge before someone gets hurt.

Whoa, brutal crowd ! I was looking for thoughts on the exhaust not diatribes on the so-called authenticity of the M badge, hehe. For those who are interested, I'll answer your obvious concerns...
                          - YES, the car was bought oversees while the first owner was in the Air Force. Along with information passed to me when I bought the car, the records in the glove box state all service from a german dealership until the end of 1989, when the first owner moved back to the US. Yes, to my knowledge, some modifications were needed to make the car US legal. It is an '88
                          - YES, it came with //M badges up front, and in the rear when the car was bought in 1988. It also had the MtechII rear spoiler, E30 sport side and rear skirts. Why? WHo knows! Maybe to sell more run-of-the-mill 325is models over there. So, I did not put them on myself. I contimplated removing them, but thought, " It came with the car, so just leave them alone. That's someone elses bad dream if they have a problem with them." The "325is" badge was on the right side. I removed it a year ago while waxing and forgot to put it back on. I will in due time, though.

I know Jordan is not a fan of the "boxer" style tip, but I am. "Boxer" style tips are not uncommon in my neck of the woods (on modified Euro cars) and people I know. Dual tips are not for me:)

The M badge is a common accesory added at at dealers in Europe. It's an authorised trim piece.
