    TSX vs E30 (325i)

Or Accord I-4 vs E30 325i... what would be the outcome in a straight line race. Would either of the Hondas win? This would obviously be on a 1/4 mile track. :D

    It'd be a close race.

My friend has a TSX and it feels VERY similar to a stock 325i in terms of acceleration.

Psssh, honestly I bet the TSX would win, but they build cars like that now. Shorter gearing and more gears for the stop and go shit... it's depressing...

you'll beat the accord if anything. but straight line racing is gay

it can be fun sometimes but doesnt really prove anything

The accord shouldn't be a problem. I took on one before in my "is" and I had about a car and half pull on him and I wasn't even flooring it.

TSX's are faster than any stock M20. I've been beaten a few times.

Not really comparing apples to apples my friend... Modern FWD car vs a 20 YO RWD sport sedan....Lets see that accord and TSX in 20 years and 200k miles compete against a modern car then..

TSX will win, had one as a loner when I took my moms mercedes in. You probably won't get that high in speeds but when I had the car on the freeway that think kept pulling even into triple digits I was surprised it was a 4 but Honda probably makes the best 4 cylinders.

I'm not too sure about it though... I had passed my buddy in his girlfriends auto TSX one night and stayed at 65mph steady, he paced me, then attempted to pull on my right to pass, it didn't happen. Of course that was from a roll on the highway, but my M20 started walking him. He came back with a Honduh excuse, "I was on the phone!", but it's an auto, there's not much to it. He want's to run from a dig at our local track when they open up. For shits and giggles of course, but I can't help but be curious as to the outcome.

                    TSX... 3230 lbs... 200hp/166tq
                    BMW... 2810 lbs... 168hp/164tq

Just pull up the magazine stats, the 6-speed TSX is a faster car than an E30 325i/iS. 0-60 usually in the high-6's.

I think my E34 is a lot closer to 2 tons than an E30.

I want to ride in a maintained stock M20. Maybe I should run a compression teat on the engine because it has about 180K and 9 owners before me, I wonder how worn out my engine really is, it still seems to be pretty strong though.
