R3V needs something similar to this...

Basically an entire page dedicated to DIY/Tutorials. I mean, everyone here likes to save money and most of us like working on our own cars. Something like this would be really beneficial to the members of R3V. A single stop shop, no more searching, no more "around your elbow to get to your thumb" stuff, just page dedicated to technical articles.

I know we used to have one, but there are a lot more DIY stuff that wasn't included.

good idea, also how about a thread with parts we can get from other cars like o2 sensors etc, because sometimes buying something boxed for a ford is cheaper than one boxed for a bmw.

Edit: I suppose we have a DIY section. But as you can tell these are VERY straight forward. I do think its good to be able to comment on a tutorial to explain better methods, so our DIY section is nice for that.

I like how everything is broken down in alpha order.....nicely organized (what can I say, I'm slightly OCD) :-P

bimmerdiy is really nothing more than a portal with some decent, mostly broken links. I think we should do what we can to get this moving..I too like the alpha order...let's do it, where do we start?

Yeah, I've checked out PelicanParts before. I've also seen e30tech as well. I think it would be nice to have it all in one place though. I'm going to speak for all of R3V when I say we don't like searching for stuff.

There is already a wiki resource available to use:

Most of the topics relate to 24v engine swaps, but it's open to any BMW topic.

Feel free to upload and create as many pages as you like.
