Is my mirror heated???

How do you know whether the exterior mirrors are heated on your E30? I THINK mine may be, but it's hard to tell in FL.

put it into the freeZer and once fronZen, put it back on your car, connect the wires and see what happens...

Gotcha. Not sure about the wires, car is on the other side of the Atlantic right now. This summer I am planning Mtec 2/complete respray/replace seals, trim/replace some body panels, parts. (Including, perhaps, the mirrors).
Is there an easier way to tell if the cold weather package is installed? Did it come with the heated seats?

That's what I'm thinking - 'cos sometimes the dew seems to burn off my mirror faster than other areas w/my rear defrost on.

Does the Mtec 2 front bumper just use a cover that goes over the original, or is it a completely new bumper???

For hte valance, it covers the existing valance. As for the bumper itself, you can either reuse the existing support inside the bumper you have, or get a new one for hte MtechII piece. It is a replacement of the bumper.

as for the cold weather package, im not too sure, get a can of compressed air, turn it upside down and spray the mirror, turn the defroster on and see what happens. maybe im overthinkin this, someone else chime in who knows.

There's a line through your mirror if you have a heating element in it. It's pictured above.

Most cars, even these days, don't have heated mirrors.....

i got em , in winter here they get hot. i dont really remember if you have to push the rear defrost button . i will check its still cold here so touching it should do the trick.
