      i doubt extremely conservative tuning will get you 1000+ HP from a 3.8 6-cyl. maybe they run two fuel/timing maps. one for emisions and one for the 1000+HP top speed run?

            That's exactly what I meant, hence the "combined" part of my post. I figure an emissions/street switch that not only bypasses the small muffler but also flips to the other map.

                  That car is amazing. My only question is, what does the traction control do when 760 lbs/ft try to move that car from a stop? And, what happens if you turn it off?

                    High speed gearing would help with low speed traction ... some of it at least

                      If the twin-turbo Vipers can hook up for 10sec 1/4 runs...760lb-ft in a rear engine car will be fine. Is it still AWD too?
