Pyrometer meassures manifold temperature, best way to know if you car is running lean or rich. Its recommended to install this with a turbo setup, its more acurate than the air/fuel gauge. -

No problem man
Wheels are 16" Hartge painted like some gunmetal color.
Headlights are Hella Smoked Ellipsoids, with some ricer purple bulbs in the highbeams that i found on ebay and wanted to see how they lighted up. :)Comment

Get a wide band O2 sensor and save the inaccurate gauge reading problems :)
Looks great though, I just don't think I could personally put up with gauges like that.Comment

Accurate wide band 02 sensors, plus the required controller can sometimes be expensive. Many times you'll see inexpensive wide bands that either still require a controller, or are simply narrow band 02 sensors with a slightly larger range.Originally posted by DigitalwaveGet a wide band O2 sensor and save the inaccurate gauge reading problems :)

That said, AEM now offers a wide band + controller for $400.Comment

Which is very cool. The new AEM ECU has some slick features (soft rev limiters, lauch control, traction control, boost control, auto-tune, etc). I'm sure the auto-tune function will still require some fiddling with the fuel maps, but its very slick. Some Formula SAE teams are begining to use the AEM ECU. I'm eager to see how well it performs and how much they like it.Originally posted by Robwhen used in conjunction with the AEM ECU, (I'm referring to their O2 sensor) the system can tune itself. literally. very powerful device.Comment

Now you got me interested... can you use the AEM ECU in any car?Comment

You might try asking on AEM's message forum:Originally posted by DigitalwaveNow you got me interested... can you use the AEM ECU in any car?

Its a standalone, so it should fit a wide variety of applications. That said, I believe AEM is developing the EMS so that it will plug directly into a specific vehicle's harness. They could very well have a "generic" (for lack of a better term) model which requires you to develop your own wiring harness. For now, no specific BMW applications.
You interested in putting this on your M20? For the money, there's for greater gains to be made. A wild guess, but it would probably be in the $2k+ range for an EMS, UEGO (wide band O2), and some dyno tuning. That's assuming you installed it yourself.
