      so you now have working brakes and tires with actual tread on them?

          Yup. In the process of dissassembly I discovered it was my master break cylinder that was leaking, huge saturation all over the bell housing, didn't notice it before because of the cover plate that sits in front of it. So today I replaced it all, both clutch clyinders, new hoses on everything, etc.

          Works great now, and my clutch pedal is nice and stiff again ;)

          and of course I have my new tires that grab like a toddler to a tit
