    Good bodyshop in Washington State?

I don't have a paint gun or a shop to repaint my rear bumper. Just wondering if any of you pnw know of a decent body shop that can do it for a reasonable price or if you know someone that can do it on the side. Get back to me if you know someone that can do some painting for me, I can take care of the sanding.

I've got the name of a guy in Oak Harbor. I've never met him, but saw his work (satin black on a fullsize truck, and a brushed pinstripe - ala' old rat rods), and it was decent. Truck owner gave me contact info - PM me if you want it, but there has to be a body guy in B'ham willing to do late night cash work - stop by a few shops and ask. Rule of thumb is if there are 3 or more cars worth more than $30K, it ought to be a decent place. Or if the owner seems like an arrogant SOB, he probably does some decent work. That's how it is in the Valley.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

there are a lot of ok bodyshops in bellingham, but not very many that like working on old cars. if you have a honda or toyota, fine.. but an old BMW?

I took my car to classic collision out on the Hemi road (north of bellingham). it's run by an older guy, bill pinkstaff (who apparently is well known in the area). he doesn't advertise, it's all word of mouth. he does mostly stuff that he wants to - last time I was there, he was doing a full resto on a ferrari. they do regular cars too, but he prefers to work on older stuff - like his '57 bell air which he rebuilt from the ground up. I'd give them a call, and you can tell him chris sent you. the # is 398-8385.

Thanks guys I might follow up on some of these. I'm going down to redmond for spring break so anywhere in the greater Seattle area would be fine. Just my rear bumper, my front lip and a door molding panel nets to get resprayed and maybe a little touch up work on the car.

                  All European Autowerks in Kent,
the owner (Bob) is a kickass guy
and can damn near mold metal
with his mind alone. Plus all he
does is euro sleds, gotta dig it.
