SPA design makes some killer little CF mirrors, rectangular I believe. You just have to fab up a mounting / cover up plate for the stock location and mount the m to that. I saw them on an Alfa and fell in love.

Too "track" looking for my E24, but I'd like to get some for my next 335i...

BMW does make a mirror delete plate for both sides. So if any one wants to use a different mirror that doesn't mount in the stock location they can order them. I got pictures of it on my car in this thread, http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=85302

fuckin A - those DTMs are the cat's ass for aftermarket availability.

After getting my car years ago, (purchased on eBay) I went on one of those god-awful (how much was I drinking?) stages where I thought: "Holy shit! - there is such an affordable/fun aftermarket support for e30s !!!!!" and bought some really stupid shit.

I purchased, had color-matched, and installed a set of those eBay36 M mirrors - thinking they'd add 'organic flair' or 'modernize' or 'be something different'

they mostly clash with boxy body lines - stock mirrors (like intakes) are so well-suited to begin with.

My car project took a definite turn toward quality when I stopped buying from eBay, and started buying from Patrick.

have to say the stockers are nice. Power vs. Lean over to adjust, I take power. As for looks, stock as well.
