    e28 bottle caps..

There is an old e28 down the road from me with bottle caps on, and i was just wondering, are the E28 bottle caps styled differently from the E30 bottle caps? Because they look different than mine, and its been bugging the hell out of me. I dont know, they look.... flatter.

a few e28's and a e36 model (I think it was a base 318 or 325) came with what looks to be a 5 lug version of bottlecaps. Not sure if they are exactly the same, but they sure look to be the same. Maybe 15's instead of 14's

On the e30 the bottlecap sticks out whereas on my e28 the bottlecap has a slight dip in towards the car. Of course everyone knows they are also 5 lug, but the biggest bitch i have about my e28 is that the rims on metric. the wheel was 205/55/190 i think which rounded off to roughly 14.9 inches. so finding TRX tires sucks. i believe only 85-86 were the years that did that but i dont think it applied to the iS'

The e28 bottlecaps have a lot more of a lip than the e30. I saw some the other day too.

the rear one is my new one :?

that's the strangest looking bottlecap I've ever seen! maybe it's for the E21? either way it's ugly. :(

                      I know

but it has a date stamp '86 so it's not from a E21
and it's the same brand and offset
btw it's just for the tyres for the yearly govrnment inspection so, it doesn't matter ;)

Mmm...is that Cirrus Blue? ;)

                            I love that car! :D

E28 bottlecaps do indeed have more lip, they go in quite a bit further than E30 ones.

The hub area on the rear bottlecap on that car is bigger than the front one.
