    I have two nuts in my pants

    With all seriousness it is so valuable to have spare metric bolts and nuts laying around.
    nothing like 3am and you are missing a stupid nut to complete a major project that you have been working on for weeks.

      That is an excellent idea. In times past I have usually gone with replacement bolts or I ended up painting the old tarnished bolts. When I was a kid, I sandblasted and repainted my bicycle with blue metal flake paint and applied flame decals and clearcoated it. By the time I got all of the old parts back on the bike, (bearing caps, bolts, brackets, etc) it was a major dissapointment that the bike didn't look much better.
