Swaybar upgrade for an E30 with 5 lug suspension.

Do you guys think I should buy a standard E30 sway bar kit, or an E30 M3 sway bar kit where the front swaybar mounts to the strut instead of the control arm?

This has caught my eye on Ebay:

Price looks good and ST I hear makes good stuff. However, I recall people having problems with tearing out sway bar mounts. I'm done fixing problems on this car and only want to do modifications that won't give me hell. I especially do not want to repair sway bar mounting points as I believe it is very expensive.

    That said, should I:

    A. Avoid this mod all together

    B. Buy the kit and install it worry free

    C. Buy the kit and buy mount enforcers (where? price?)

    D. Buy the IE kit (Which I hear includes everything)

    Thanks

Do you really want a front sway bar?

I would think that the extra weight of the M50 would make your car understeer a bit, and if anything you would only want to get a larger rear bar. I've heard adding the M3 sway bar in the rear helps out these cars a bunch.
I could be wrong, if I am someone will probably correct me.

well i still think a swaybar would be nessacary, and if you don't remeber eric is building up a aluminum s50 up that he got from a m-roadster, which is actually lighter then the m20, i recall correctly.

I guess I worded that wrong.
I meant that he probably didn't need a thicker, non-stock swaybar.

I forgot that he was building up the aluminum s50/m50. That should be sick.

Yup, ETA may be a little longer then expected, but eventually it will happen.

well only you know howyour car drives, if it oversteer's or understeers, but you should wait unitll you get the new motor in first till, you make the decicion on the sway bar.

The sets are the same. The bars aren't different just the front links which are not supplied by the ST kit. ST sways are the cheapest but are not as adjustable as other kits out there. The IE bars are just huge (25/22) which is probably too much bar. I would just be concerned with everything lining up correctly now that you have mismatched parts on your car.
