Just get it done professionally man. They will use good tint film, apply it correctly, and in most cases warrenty their work.

You will make a mess, and ruin a good amount of film before you get it right,

I would not suggest doing it yourself unless you can physically remove the glass from the car.

ya get it done somewhere. I got mine done with the premium stuff that won't fade/bubble. I think I paid $150. I'm overall pleased and they had it done in about an hour.

tinting isnt that hard..... if you have the glass out of the car.... i bought my film from tap plastics (same as the tint shops use) and did it with the windows out.

you need to do it in a dust free environemnt and clean your windows with goof off or soemthing similar, then windex, then water..... spray the glass with soapy water and lay the film on carefully the use a bondo spreader to get all the bubbles, and water out from under the film.

you need to trim the film about 1/4-1/8th of an inch from all edges of the glass with a razor blade.....

i paid about $20 to tint 9 windows, 5% on rear sides 25% on the rear doors and rear window and 35% on the driver/passenger windows.... i was painting the car so i had the glass out and decided to tint the windows as well...

getting the windows out isnt hard, and also since you would be taking the windows out you could even replace all the window gaskets!!!

oh... and the back window should be done with at least 2 pieces

You could also put in black headliner... 8)

I would get it done professionally too. Less hassle, and it's warrantied.

Ok, that is what I figured. I'll just get it done professionally when the time comes. Thanks for all the help.

My best suggestion on doing this is find all the tinting places in the phonebook, and call them all to find the best price/quality. Visit some of the cheapest places, and see how they run their operation and the fine print of the warranty.

That's what I plan on doin when I can afford it. ;)

A lot of places will give a life time warranty.

I think I'm going to get a 30 or 40% tint next month.. otherwise my interior is going to be fried by the sun, plus it'll be much cooler inside.

                    that's the key word...

with the proper knowledge, removing the glass from the car will make it as easy as 1, 2, 3.
