I need one for my 2002 and i only know that the one from a 325i works. I cant cross reference the pns on real oem for some reason - it doesnt show on the 6 cyl. Thanks
Are fuel pumps for 318is and 325i the same???

Yes the 318iS one is specific to its model. Costs a little more too, sadly. Enjoy replacing it, its a little frustrating. Here is a very good DIY page for the 318iS fuel pump:
Also check out the rest of this site, very informative if you have the 318iS. Enjoy!Reminiscing...Comment

pat you need one from a 1991 m42 318is ONLY. This is the same depth as our tanks (so the gauge reads correctly) and they have the built in high pressure fuel pump, sender & all that all in one drop in unit.
All others (like the e30 m10 one I mentioned to you) you'll need the seperate tripple cluster (clusterF) under the chasis with accumulator, filter & high pressure pump. All others are sender & low press units OR low & high press units but no sender (325m20).
that's all what I believe to be true - but it could be wrong. I do know that you want a 1991 m42 318is in tank pump from an e30 car.Comment
