HID's FTW. Ever since I put them in, I never have to flash highs for people to pull over and nobody cuts me off, since the can actually see me coming.

Those articles just piss me off. Just because big brother DOT has a stick up their ass we don't get anything cool.. Look how they ruined cars in the late 70s and 80s..

I don't really understand why people rely on foglights as driving lights either... I guess it looks cool. But HIDs are awesome, these old assholes obviously have never driven a car with properly aimed HIDs before.

Like others have said, it's the lifted trucks that I have problems with. That and all the retards that drive with foglights on no matter the weather. The vast majority of foglights are useless in fog anyway, they just scatter light everywhere, perfect for causing glare.
One thing I've noticed about a few people I've heard complain about HIDs: When they see 'em coming, they stare right into them! They see the "different" looking blueish light, and stare right at the damned things. Gee, I wonder why they're blinding you? :loco:

Lol at the article... but I would be all IN for an annual headlight inspection....too many trucks and suvs out there with headlights not aligned right.

I read a article in a car magazine on how certain people are effected by blue and white lights more then others. It has to do with how the eye's pupil reacts to color. For some it causes it to quickly dilate making your eyes sensitive to light. It really doesn't have much to do with brightness. Car manufacturers are testing with different color patterns to find a more universally pleasing color. In general blue light is harder on the eyes. It has something to do with man staring at fire for so long from what I've heard.

Look at this quote
"In recent years, more than 5,000 Americans have posted complaints about high-intensity headlights on a Web site run by the federal highway safety agency".
5000 americans out of how people live in the U.S? Millions.

the only time I ever have problems with HID's are on big SUV's where they point directly at your face, otherwise it's a complete non issue, its amazing if you just look off to the side, the blinding light magically is reduced to minor glare.
