Do not do it unless you have a hydraulic press or some tool you can use an air tool to remove/install it..

My brother did these on his e36. Rent a bearing puller, its the only way. Even with that, it can be tricky. He screwed up one of the new bearings during the install. Its not impossible to do correctly yourself, but it takes time, effort and a lot of patience.

You don't need a hydraulic press!!!
There is a bearing puller that looks like a gear puller and some big metal disks that pull it out.
One of the guys that I work with can do the passenger side rear wheel bearing in under an hour.

Wow I kinda feel a little bad for you guys. Labor in Leb is MUCH cheaper. I got both my rear wheel bearings replaced for cost of parts +$50 :D

Why is that? I've done both and dont recall the left side being harder?

My first time doing it, the right side took me 3-4 hours to figure out.
I did the left side on my lunch hour the next day.

Yea, all you need is a large threaded shaft, 2 nuts for it, and some various metal plates to do it. No need to pull the arm out and put it in a press unless that bitch is really stuck in there.

Exhaust is in the way on the left side.

OK MrK you can stop rubbing it in. Didn't you say that you can get complete S50B32s for like $2k complete as well!?

@FredK: No I didn't say that LOL. Parts are priced similarly to the US here (including the ridiculous availability of anything eurhhho), it's just labor that's cheaper :D

I had mine done for about $100 in labor.

Sorry, off topic, but what would be some symptom of a bad wheelbearing replacement job? Now I have some metal rubbing sounds about 6-8 months later. Could my mechanic have botched the job?

edit: I know it's not the brakes.
