Yeah and the simple bolt on costs 1/3 of what the car costs.
For $30k.... I'll have a lot faster cars than that stupid R32. I hear the differential is a joke on those cars.... they are open diffs and horribly designed.
True it's fast, but come on..... I'll have an M5 sitting on my driveway that maybe will lose to your R32..... BUT I'll be right there on your ass smiling that my STOCK car is not too far behind yours. Plus, in the long run.... you still have the vdub and I got the ///M
And if you want to talk tuning, then throw in an e30 with $50k dumped into it and no damn R32 will touch the damned e30. I doubt Patrick from Bimmerforums came even close to spending $60k on his e30 M3 and that thing has 620rwhp.
55-60k for a golf is insane. Granted, stock they're a nice car, but for their base price range, you can also get into an STi or an Evo, both of which would be higher up on my list.
while I am a VW fan, I can't justifiy the 30k for an R32 when you have the STI and EVO out there. I do think VW is on the right track with offering a race inspired golf, i just think they need to do it cheaper.. or up the power to compete in that price range.
I'm a vw fan, but the only vw I would ever buy again is anything between the 55 aircooled vehicles and the 84 rabbit GTIs. I leased a 2000 Golf and it was the biggest POS ever. Burnt oil like a mother........ I don't even want to get into it.......
i really love the way they look and sound. but why pay that much for a car that is going to get blown out of the water by an evo.
it would prob drive much nicer though, much more "luxury" in comparison to the evo or sti
