79K on my '85 323I Only repairs have been fuel pump relay, sub-frame bushings and a water pump. Uses a little oil, but they'll do that if you run it in the upper ranges alot.

I notice the only time I use oil is when going up and down tall mountian passes. I think the engine breaking on the way down causes huge vacume - and suck a bit of oil in. Otherwise everything is fine in-town. Anyone else run accross this? (running mobil 1 syn)

chasis just turned over 200,000. Motor just turned over 5 miles on the new head. Block has 82k.Comment
