    mods that will maximize the 325e's capabilities?

    what kind of mods can be done to maximize performance on the 325e?
    i know it's got a lot of torque, so would slapping on a couple of bolt ons like an air filter help a lot?

    it has 127hp, right?

    thanks.

    Basically just buy a chip and forget it and drive. If you want more buy wheels, tires and suspension. Don't waste your time with the e for any real power.

      Chips add like 20 hp and really open up the car. Other than that dont waste your money.

              you could boost it or do other things but the $ you put into the eta engine could be spent a lot better in a swap that has a lot more potential.

                    which motor?

                    FI = forced inductions
                    s52 = e36 m3 engine

                    honestly, unless you are looking for crazy power an m50 (e36 non-M engine) swap is pretty affordable... and with some other bolt ons you can get even more power out of.

                    If you want to just chip the eta go with turnermotorsports chip or EAT(MarkD) chip.

                        I would recommend a Mark-D chip. My car has a Dinan chip in it currently that claims 20hp and 20lb ft increase, but it came with the car. I hear really good things about Mark-D chips as well.

                            Easy... it costs somewhere between $8,000 and $15,000...

                            It's called an e30m3.

                            For $5,000 less you could get yourself a nicely modified e30 325is OR for the same price you could get yourself a badass e30 325is.

                            I owned a stock 4dr 1986 eta for 3 years while I lived in Vermont. I used it as a winter driver and I loved it. Bone stock, towels for seat covers and I beat the snot out of it. Great little car, good fuel economy and very reliable all the way up to 300,000 miles.

                            If you want performance get yourself a different car. If you know Porsche's it's like asking what you can do to your 912 to make it more like a 911... answer is buy a 911

                              This is true, but I really don't mind because its my DD anyways.
