    Question about e30 options...

If you have power windows does that mean the car will have power sunroof too or was it a separate option? What about power mirror; where they totally separate?

Does the 12 button OBC have a factory immobilizer ?

    Thanks in advance.

Power sunroof was an option. My car has power windows and a crank sunroof.

I *THINK* all E30's had power mirrors.

Not sure about the Immobilizer, never heard of such a thing.

You'll find VERY few e30s w/o power windows in the US.

The power sunroof was a separate option (I *think* al of the "s" modesl came with one).

I've never seen an e30 w/o power mirrors.

Would power sunroof be a pain in the ass to add if you had a parts car with power sunroof?

        Thanks for the fast replys.

It takes a little engineering to mount the sunroof motor (or so I've heard). The non-power sunroof cars don't have a mounting spot for the motor.

*If you search, this topic has been covered before.

That's true. I don't think any of the 318s had a power roof option (or a check panel).

Yea, power windows and sunroof are seperate.

I have a 325is here, with a power sunroof, but I prefer the crank, I just like havin that rather than the power buttons, ya know? ;)

Power mirrors are on every single E30 I've seen - even an 1984 318i I looked at once.

318is was, in fact, the only "s" to NOT have a power sunroof - that's how I understand it at least.

The roof is a pain in the ass to crank 50x to get it to open and close. I'd much rather have the power one. And I think the button looks better than the crank.

My '84 318i has power windows (and A/C... I think both were options).

I've never seen an e30 other than an m10 without the power windows/

My father did the swap from the manual sunroof to the power sunroof..

I sure do love not having to crank that crap anymore!

How hard was it? I suppose I could consider it... Since I have the resources here and all.

I didn't know the 318's didn't have a check panel or power roof option . That sucks, maybe i'll start looking at 325's again.
