I wouldn't buy an eta period, so the point is mute :hitler:

I know it's not an Eta, but my M10 has 395.000 km (246.875 miles) on the odo and pulling strong, not burning a bit of oil (no rebuilds yet).

So if my little 4 banger can do it why shouldn't a big 6 cyl. ???? :p

          Quick ETA question..

I just filled up after driving 275miles. The tank filled up to 13.1gallons after topping it off as much as I could. So does this mean I get about 21mpg? I did about 5% highway driving on that tank of gas. Does this sound about right or should I be getting better fuel economy? I just did a full tune-up btw

That only means that if you topped it off that high last time? The EPA figures for ETAs are:

Even though machinery wears out and the components that make it up tend to weaken with age, its still my opinion that cars that are driven more often for longer periods of time tend to last longer. The worst thing you can do to a car is to not drive it and let it sit. So when I see an ad for a used car where they state that the car was "barely driven" then I know that I am headed for some problems if I decide to buy it. The second worst thing is short trip driving. So if the owner has had the car for the better part of 20 years yet there is less than 100K on it because he only works 5 miles away from home then I know thats another problem car.

But I have had vehicles that I bought with over 200K and they ran fine many miles past that. I've yet to get a car up to 300K. I always manage to get into an accident or sell the car before I make it to the next milestone. In fact I was at the supermarket with my Chevy van when some guy with a mobile car washing business walked up to me and offered me $3500 in cash. He said, "Why don't you sell me your van? I know you take good care of it." The van had 283,000 on it and it was an 85. I didnt think he was serious.. so I said, "nah.. how about $4000" and he said, "SOLD!"

The time before I got 12.75 gallons to fit. I was reading a website and I'm pretty sure it said to use the amount of gallons you used and the previous miles driven. Either way, it looks like my fuel economy is correct....still seems kind of shitty filling up every week and a half and spending nearly $40 every time.

My 528e (same motor as the 325e) was at 300k, purring flawlessly when I sold her.
