G60's are just the earlier version of the 1.8T...been done many many more times then the 1.8T swaps. Plus the 1.8T is more tunable then the G60. The Vr6 is just too heavy for that little car. Way too much weight over the front wheels.

im very aware of what a 1.8T is and what a g60 is... i have owned vws for years.. but i just dont really like 1.8T motors and i have a soft sport for 12v vr and g60s (damn i cant wait to get my corrado fixed)... the 1.8T swaps where they ditch the turbo and tack on a g-lader on the other hand are mint... not many of those around tho

that wasnt' meant as an insult of your VW motor knowledge, just stating the 1.8T is the "new" G60 meaning its the hot swap right now and you're going to see alot more of it as donor cars become available.

I'm surprised by you liking of the G60 charger, most people run from the gernade but you want to strap it onto a 20v ;) Have you seen BBM's autorotor (lysholm) charged 20v setup?

That is hotness, although I'd much rather have it in a mk II GTI. I must say the 20v 1.8T would be the choice motor as well, responds to mods much better and in alot of cases 1.8t guys are beating boosted VR's all day long.

I don't think so. I think he just made it so the pivot point is really high so he can have the shifter really close to his hand. If so then :up: for a great looking setup.

I can only pray one day my mk2 will have a 1.8T. The 8v just isn't cutting it. That mk1 is absolutely gorgeous although I don't really dig the Porshe wheels. At any rate the car rocks and I wish it was mine.

Nice repair tag on it. 8) Seems the only way sweet modded cars get driven in Germany. I'm not so hip on the 911 wheels maybe some thing old skool would suite it better but it rocks.
