Awesome weekend: Dyno, Autox, car show *PICS*

What a great weekend. Driving school on Saturday, AutoX on a mini road course on Sunday, car show at the same location all weekend, and a Dyno. Best weekend I've had in a long time - met some cool people, saw some bad ass cars, and learned a lot.

I got 1st place in DSP and 3rd place overall in the AutoX, the only street legal car beating me was my instructor from the previous day!

Dyno'd my 325is too, stock except for a chip (unknown brand, haven't opened the ECU up yet). I told him to pull to 6700 but he cut it off early.

Here is the dyno from that red late model e30 with the custom front and rear spoilers... It had a complete e30 M3 S14 drivetrain (and suspension):

That's about 1/20th of the pics I took.

I wasn't even there for the car show, I thought it was just a few replica cars gathering, I went for the AutoX, figured it would be a mellow weekend. I got there and was amazed, there was tons of nice cars, and tons of cool people.

I snapped a few pics, but I didn't have a lot of time.

The AutoX was intense, it was more like a road race. People were boiling brake fluid, that's how hard it was on the car. One guy in an Audi lost his brakes at the top of second gear coming into a 180 degree turn, and went straight, started spinning right towards me... I have video of it all :D

Another guy wrapped a Caterham 7 around a fence pole... and it wasn't his car!!!

wow, that does sounds insane. but at the same time it sounds like a ton of fun. i totally want to do this sometime.

That guy was cool, I was talkin to him for a while. Does he come on this forum at all? His car is very nice, and has nice subtle mods that nobody else has, that make it stand out without being "ricey"... hard to do with an e30.

He said he was supposed to have a huge crew roll down with him, would have been nice to have a big e30 turnout.

Hey man, did I meet you there? I was only there for a short time and had to get going, but I introduced myself to a few people, maybe you were one of them?

I had to leave around 9 but got so sidetracked with those cars I left at 10:15! Carlisle was awesome this year, I'm definitely showing up next year for sure!

Glad to see some pictures showed up of that 5 lug E30 too, that thing was amazing! And they all drove down from New York too. M42Club represent!

No, I didn't meet you, I was over at the track for all but about 2 hours the whole weekend. I'm not much of a car show person, I like race cars that get it done :D

I didn't get any pictures of the autox, I video taped most of the fast cars though.
