From first hand experience I can only compare my on ramp/off ramp exit speeds between my modded e30 on rt615s and my daily. But the two cars are completely different in every category you can think of, in the awd a4 on 235 dunlop sport maxx with factory sport suspension I can normally push it close to 60ish on the exit ramp where a posted limit is about 25 or 30 iirc.
My buddy scared the crap out of me in an 07 s4 with aftermarket suspension, 19" BBS wheels and big rubber. He took an onramp decreasing radius at close to 90mph with all 4 awd wheels begging to go sideways. He worked that throttle well enough to power through it, but wow. I've never been in an e30 or really any other car that I would expect to make it through that. A family friend has a race prepped mid 80's 911, and he won't try that. Modern sportscars really amaze me.

Lol, iirc (don't quote me on that, as it might be ONLY on RS models) it's also setup to 40f/60r power split to act more like a rwd car. You are right though, even with my lowly 2.0t awd I can go 2-3x the limits depending on condition and lack of traffic like nothing. Now, if one was to lose control at those speeds it would suck majorly, no matter how many air bags are in the car.

That's because performance, at that time, meant whoever got the most MPG.

              That sounds irresponsible and unsafe...

I've yet to understand why people attempt to balance the limit of their car on public roads. Yeah, I'll drive fast and take corners fast, but I'm not at my cars limit. That's for the track.

ive yet to find my cars limit and im in no rush to find it. i like my life. i notice people doing this and nothing against them but its only a matter of time its playin with fire keep the antics on the track please
i dont want to log into r3v and read another i r3ved my car thread.

but in all seriousness if your intentions were to buy a racecar you should NOt have bought an e30.. simple as that... now while it is POSSIBLE to do so its uncommon

and ive been in e46 323s and 325s and i highly doubt theyd give a stock m20 powered i car a beating... but thats just off of my experience

An e30 makes a great race car. Very fun on the limit, very cheap to build, very cheap to maintain, very reliable, etc...

If you've been in e46's, but don't find the limit on the street, how do you know what either car is capable of? An e46 WILL walk on an e30. They put power down much, much better.

Not to rag on you, just sayin...

Sure, I will step on it once in a while, give it a lil gasolina.
I do NOT do tests of agility on public roads. Scary.
