Looks like Schuey will be cleaning house once again. It's nice to see Button pulling fast times in the Honda. I'd love to see him get another podium finish.

I watched the Speedvision Decade series a few weeks ago, where they played the '94 Imola race. I'm sure you remember it, with Senna and a rookies fatal crashes.

I'd like to see Raikannon pull a decent finish (or atleast a finish!) this next race.

Looking forward to qualifying and the race. Thanks for posting the practice results Jon.

free practices are not qualifying, therefore you should not assume a team or driver is slower based on their friday practice times. most teams just make use of the time to fine tune the setup or chose what tires to use, theyre not competing at this point.

i still think ferrari is the strongest out there, but i'm curious to see how the new renault V10 does, and i hope the bmw.williams gearbox gremlins are gone. i could care less about mercedes at this point since they pretty much botched the first three races of the season and probably wont be up to speed anytime soon even if the engines dont blow.

so far ive been giving ralf.s the benefit of the doubt, but if he doesnt have a strong race here i'm gonna lose a bunch of confidence in him since he won at imola a couple years ago

ive never liked him, by far he is the cry baby of F1. he is an accomplished racer but hes not his bro.
im happy that W/BMW isnt giving him the salary that he want. even giving him a deadline. there are better drivers out there that would drive for much more less

ralf was having a good race (after somehow keeping control while accelerating on wet grass on the first lap) until alonso turned him around. montoya seemed pretty angry at M$ on what happened on the opening lap, but i dont think there was any way montoya could hold him off for the entire race.

Q: (Olaf Bachmann – Koelner Stadt Anzeiger): Juan, can you explain your gesture on the last lap to Michael?
JPM: I just said ‘what happened, what were you thinking’. That’s all.
MS: I thought you were congratulating me.
              JPM: I never do actually.
              ------------------------
Q: Juan Pablo, let’s have that first lap from your point of view?
Juan Pablo MONTOYA: Well, you know Michael had a poor start. He was slow out of the first chicane, you know, the first turns two and three. I went to pass, he closed the door on me and I had to back off. Then he did the same out of the next corner and closed the door, so I went for the inside and I’m coming out beside him and the next thing I see he’s just coming straight at me, hit me and put me in the grass. It’s very disappointing to see racing like that but I’ll be surprised if he gets away with it. It’s up to the FIA really.

Scheuy does own. The man is re-writing the F1 record books. Even more amazing, he's not burned out with this yet. He's still dedicated to winning as ever. Given his attitude and desire to win, he'll probably put in a couple more seasons before he decides to hang it up.

I liked Jenson Button's comment during the pre-race show....

INTERVIEWER: What would you say is the BAR/Honda shortcomings thus far this season?

JENSON: They're not as fast as the red ones.

This race wasnt all of that. Not many fuck ups, nothing really bad happened. All went accordingly.

Barrichello is a shame to all Brazilians, he only got 6th because Ralf spun out on the last couple of laps. Throughout the whole race he had the same car M.Shumy had and he couldn't come to a position to pass Ralf, nor to pass anyone to get out of 6th place.

What impressed me the most are the pit times.... they are awfully short even for a 3 stop strategy. averaging out in 7-7.5 secs, that's pretty fast.

The current bet between me and my father is that M.Schumy wins all of the remaining races for the year. Hey it's far from now.... but from what he ( and the other drivers ) have shown.... not many people will stand up to him or keep up with him for that matter.

and then JP went brushed off the fact that he drove his own teammate into the grass to block a pass. IMHO, the guy is an ass..

Remember last season, when the whole tire issue came up at the end of the season. That was bc MS cried to the officials. don’t get me wrong I like MS. Best driver period. But he does get IMO special treatment. And FIA does listen to him.
