I got in an accident today:(

I was on my way from home, the route I've taken for the past 5 months without any problems. I always go home the sameway and someone pulled out in front of me on a 4 lane divided highway. I ended up rear-ending them and I have about $2,000+ worth of damage to the passenger side front fender and other accessories. My newly replaced Euro bumper cracked and my whole fender is pushed inward and upward.

The car is drivable, but I had it towed back to a shop.

Accident wasn't my fault, other guy was cited for failing to yield the right away.

    I'll post some pictures up soon, I'm A O.K.

    That's good to know.

About the car, I'm sure it really sucks to see your car, especially given how rare it is here in the US, be wrecked like that. However as long as you're still here, you can always improve on it.

Its not totaled. Its going to be fixed. Just sucks seeing it wrecked. This will be my second e30 that I've been in an accident and driving.

The car held up real good in both instances. I was easily going 40+ when I hit the rear end of him. My arm is a little sore, just as it was when I was in the last accident, the same arm too. I think I'm just tense, the pain went away last time within a few days.

The e30's can withstand a lot.

I dunno, depends on what I get out of the insurance company. Kinda sucks being from the same insurance company. Might get screwed on that one. I'd like a M-teck kit, just more worried about a new front euro bumper ATM.

Here is a picture of the intersection. I was in the right lane going northbound on 57, he was merging from Flint Ridge Rd, into my lane:

it shows how bad of stretch of road it is. 57 is 55mph. Last minute engineering.

I'm waiting on some price quotes. I've been told the bumper work along is going to be at least $1500 :( They were brand new too, just replaced 7 months ago.

I was wrong about a few things. My car instead has $3,600 damage to it. The person who was faulted's insurance is convering it.

I also woke up to pain on Wednesday. I went to my doctor and had x-rays taken. I fractured one of my vertabrae in my lower back. I get a cat scan on Monday to see the extent of the damage.

Anyways, I'll try to get some pictures taken of the damage if I find time. Its sitting at a garage now.

Sounds like some good drugs now for you.

That sucks, but really a good thing you found out about it. Reminds me of a friend who was hit and 2 weeks later became paralyzed. His insurance tried to play it off as MS but it wasn't. I took care of him one summer. This happened over 20 years ago and he's still paralyzed.
