What do you think of these seats?

I know some might say i am crazy. I have been looking and the best i could find for decent recaros, decent not nice are 300+ due to shipping. Apperently no on in Miami owns e30's. Some local guy has S2000 seats in tan that are in decent condition and I could get for areound 300 or less. I have seen them in sedans before and the look good, just not BMW's

They remind me of the seats that "pimp my ride" uses.

Can't go wrong with oe like a nice set of sport vinyls out of a late model 318is which can be had for very cheap, and since they are vinyl, chances are they will be in good shape. Manual luxury m3 or vaders are nice in e30's, you're not tall so seat height would be fine, it's just hard to find a pair that isn't worn for cheap.

I kind of like the s2k seats. I have seen them in many cars and they look cool.

S2k seats for 300 is a steal.. Id rock'em..

The ebay seats tend to fade and the cushioning wears out really fast. I have also seen cases where the seat broke in an accident, so the safety isn't there at all.

go stock sports, i think they look the best unless you have seats like mariano.

keep an eye out for stock recaros out of the 88-82 vw gli's or 90-92 16v gti's nice bulster and look great in anything. the mkIII leathers are pretty nice too.

Waaaay too bulky looking for an E30... they would look even more cartoonish installed. Re-cover a wasted set of sport or E30 M3 seats. All of this is MHO, of course. If the eBay seats fit your budget and you like them, get 'em :-D

Which one the S2K seats or the ebay?

I am not interested in the ebay ones any more. I am pretty sure on the s2k. I think i want to try somethign different.

They have the mesh in the middle of the headrests? Nice seats.

buy high quality seats or go oe. think about what happens to the back of a 3 dollar seat in a collision or rear ender. its suppose to not fold up like a pretzel. i promise you those seats are shit if you open them up. i doubt theres even any standards in seat production in the usa but who knows?

Just imagine you get rear ended, normally you would walk away.
However if that seat folds, I would imagine it could brake your back.

For what's it worth I think both seats look really weird. I would keep an eye out for some nice Recaros, Sparcos, or even Stätus (if you're really looking to spend money).

I have found some black sport seats. Me purchaseing them all depend on the shipping price. If not I am going to get the s2k seats.

Thats what I am planing on rocking soon. Plus I have heard they work out great of you are tall, I am a little over 6'2" and I don't fit in e30s so well lol. Although the m3 seats are waaaay nicer for taller people than stock e30 seats, you can at least pivot them back a bit so your head doesn't brush on the headliner.
