There is a picture of a red e30 with an mtech 1 kit, and the bumpers (euro) are also painted red to match the car. It looks amazing. Also, on certain european versions of the e30, they actually came with painted bumpers stock from the factory (I *think* the bumpers may have even been plastic).

Price wise i got mine very cheap, just spent about 6 months looking for the right deal, i only spent 200 for my set, and they are in decent shape. As far as installation, it was pretty easy. Ryan and I got them on in a couple of hours, only after tearing off all my old stuff.

      Good luck with your search!

Call Ian Neriesan at Bavarian Autosport if you want new. He can get them to you but they are $800.

Used of course greg is a source. Like people mentioned if you wanted help/pics of the swap I tend to be the biggest proponent of the euro bumper swap as I see the US regulation of the E30 as the work of satan himself, and I am an atheist.
          Im now E30less.

He says he only ships to europe and even if he would send them over it would be 400 in shipping.

[edit] I was refferring to a posted ebay auction, not greg[/edit]

The ETK shows all the parts for chromed and primered versions. Primered metal, not plastic. There are M Tech inserts(???) for more money. I priced all the pieces from Hendrick BMW (20% CCA discount):
                Chrome....$722.92
                Primered....$738.36
                Chrome, w/ M Tech.....$787.84
I decided the plastic ($180 total) was the way to go.

I know someone locally that got their hands on an E30 323i - imported to the US sometime in the past, and I guess he for some really really stupid reason got the BMP bosy kit for it... (the front euro bumper and valance was missing...)

I could try to talk to him and see what he's going to do with the old rear euro bumper... ;)

The more and more I look at euro bumpers with early style tail lights, the more and more I like the early tail lights more than the later ones... :x

If I woulda thought stuff thru more, I coulda found a pre88 IS and done a euro bumper swap...if only we had jumped on the 87 325is that was gray metallic with only 65,000 for 6 grand...

Try your local dealer. A few months before I purchased my car, the euro bumpers had been replaced. They were bought from the Akron OH BMW dealer.

Since I got in my accident, my car is going to need a new front bumper and I have contacted Cleveland BMW: they too, have access to them. I'm not sure on prices, but it'll probably beat shipping charges, unless you find a real good deal in Europe.

The chrome is a PITA to keep clean. The underside of the bumpers always manages to have road dirt and tar all over them.

                              flame away...

Dunno if I should dare admit this, but I have a euro bumper-ed 1985 325e and want to swap them out...just not a chrome fan, and it's sacreligious to paint them IMO.

The front is in excellent shape, a few small bends on the lower side, nothing serious. The rear has a good sized v-bend in it though...I've got some pics if anyone wants to host them...if not, I'll get a cardomain deal and use that I guess.

The valances are good, they, too need some straightening, but they're all there. All in all, a pretty decent set-no rust that I can see.

I'm looking at different things, really trying to get a hold of the mtech2 kit, but with little success...maybe if someone wants to take these "off my hands" I can have some more ammunition to find me one ;)

All I do know is that these sure as hell look better than the diving boards...this is my second euro beemer, my first was an 85 525i (go to a jiffy lube with that-there's no such thing as an 85 525i in america :) ) Thank god turner's in my backyard, that oil filter would have been tough to track down!
