OK, the spring moves under the rubber, or the whole rubber pad rubs inside it's housing, that's the noise, it doesn't sound down, it sounds up.
Did yout torque the bolts or just tightened them "tight" ?.
Maybe there are large torque differences between the bolts causing the rubber not to seat flush, check that also.;)

i say drive it around some and see if it goes away or changes.
do you push down on the car in the same place every time for listening for the sound?
you need a buddy there to put an ear to different areas like the treehouse CAB.
did you say you have rubber spring seats in there or not? this isnt a sound that normally comes from a spring on metal seat.

I never lubed the sway bar bushings, never though about it. What do you use just lithium grease for ball bearings?
its sway bar bushings then. they come with a wicked sticky silicone grease to keep that shit from washing away. but anything you have will take the squeek away for awhile. try spraying some silicone spray in there with one of those nozzles the size of your dick and see if it gets better. if it doesnt then hit the treehouse CAB's with the same shit. its gotta be one of those 2

Threw some tri-flow in there just to test, noise almost went away. I will lube them up tomorrow. Would have done it today but I got roped into helping my buddy swap his 190's engine all day.
EDIT:
False alarm I figured out what the other noise was :) Dust boot was pushed a bit too far down and it was grabbing on the bottom of the strut.Last edited by equate975; 06-21-2007, 08:48 PM.Rollin' with a Geistkuchen
