Funny. Everytime I find myself struggling to get the power down in a Mini, I start wishing it was RWD and imagine what it would be like. I then picture an E30.

Used Honda Accord coupe. The newer ones with 240 hp and a six speed. Its somewhat sporty, looks good, and def. in the price range. Of course Honda = awesome MPG.

But thats just me. If I had 25K? Buy an E30 M3 and hook that up.

I say just stay away from new cars. Ever look in the Roundel classifieds and notice how cheap a 2 year old car is? It's disgusting how much they depreciate in the first few years.

25k to drop and doesn't sound like much of a "car guy".

I'd say that's a pre-owned lexus customer right there, steer him that way.

Very true, he is in no way a "car guy" I'm trying to get him to get something that is cool and a bit sporty. Plus if he got a mini i'd get to drive it every once in a while.

You guys are going to hate me for this, but how about a late model toyota cellica? it "looks" fast, probably handles decently, assuridly gets good gas mileage and you have Toyota's rock solid reliability and safety. I'm sure you could pick up a nice one for $25k, they've been around for a couple years now. Sounds like that would be perfect for your friend. :P

Yes, we knew all along that the whole reason you wanted him to get a Mini was so you could drive it...hahaha

honestly, Mini's a good way to go. try to get the Cooper S - then look into 18" rims later. I'm not sure which ones come with 18's by default?
