This will help center the wheel properly, especially if you use 17" wheels or larger.
The 5 lug for E30 IS worked out.. Meaning E36 front brakes and knuckles, struts etc. you just have to know how to do it.

HAHAHA! Yes.. Did I mention that? LOL It's solid... and offset if you are wondering. I forgot to picture the bushings... Nylon-Moly inserts. These are a breeze to install and come with a LT warranty. Street and track use. $150.

Hmmmm.. that just turned into a shameless plug. is that ok around here?

        Thanks,
        Jon

I'm just joking. You said the wheel would be centered 'especially if you have 17's' as if the diameter of the wheel would make a difference.

                  If I went 5 lug, it'd be e30 m3 or bust.

ahh... see the larger the outer diameter of the wheel/tire combo gets, the more it exaggerates that the hub is not far enough forward.

I just can't see using E30 m3 parts at all. the E36 M3 brakes are sooooooo much better and with rotors for $60 each I can't pass that up. I install this combo a lot. Also you can use E36 325i if you want to stay with 15" wheels.

                        Jon,
Great solution! You know what your website needs? A detailed description of the parts required to do the swap. Since you've done several installations, you could clear up a lot of confusion. I'd buy a pair of those brackets if I knew what else I need to buy to get it to work.

Jordan, Im not sure if those are your slotted control arm brackets or someone else's. I think it's worth repeating that this is not a viable solution. If you slam on the brakes hard (the whole point of the conversion), it's possible that the bracket could slip back into it's original position. That would put your front end into a dangerous toe-out condition, shooting your car left or right, depending on which bracket gives.

                          I aggree!

Anyway I have a set of these in the mail, and I'll be doing a full tech writeup with pics once the install is done.

All I need is the 318ti t-arms ...hint hint, if anybody has any leads for me. :D

i've known mpower jon for about 8 years and trust me,
he KNOWS the e30 like the back of his hand...he does
5 lug and M50 conversions in his sleep...he's been
wrenching on the side for some time and recently took
the plunge and went full-time with his own shop,
                            Treehouse Racing...

he does most of my work...

i've asked him to check out the forum in the past, but
he usually stays away from the forums because most
of them are light on info and heavy on the bullshit...be
glad he's coming around, he'll be able to provide a wealth
                            of info...

unfortunately...he's so busy with word of mouth referrals
that his website is in need of serious help...

Thanks for the input, it's hard juggling the different aspects of a rapidly growing business, you're right. I have been slowly chipping away at the site... just recently put up the Roll Cage section. I guess I need to hurry up and get some 5 lug info up and M50 conversion stuff.
