ideas on getting financing for an e30

After being rejected by my bank and loantree to finance an e30, I was wondering where else I could try to get financing on older cars. Seems like noone wants to deal with pre 97 models.

Looking to get an mtechnic or e30m3. Where else can I try? thanks

what type of loan did you try to get from the bank? A car loan? Most banks don't give car loans out for cars older than 1996. I financed my e30 with a personal bank loan instead of a car loan. I needed my father to co-sign though since my credit quite isn't established enough yet, but if I were you I would try to get a co-signer and try for a personal loan.

Since I'm only working part time and have years of school ahead of me, it'll take me forever to save up the 10k or so that I need. I'd rather not wait that long.

not to preach, but since i'm in school, I sold my 'expensive' car and got a 'cheap' e30, debt during school is for the birds. I'll wait till my education is complete to have the hot shit

if you can't make it without a loan for a car like this, it probably isn't a good idea just yet. Wait until you've got a better job or are more financially stable.

If you have to apply for a loan to buy an e30, and are only working part time, than you are never going to be able to maintain that car. Consequently, you are going to run it into the ground.

Don't do that to an innocent M3. Stick with the regular e30 you have.

yeah, I'll look into the personal loan.

I also agree that the smartest thing to do is what untill your out of school, but I'm looking at 5 or 6 more years. before I'm making the big bucks.

Then why in gods name are you looking to stick yourself into a 10k high interest loan on an aging car that realistically needs 2500/year in maintence?

Cant say heh. I'm just sick out my hail damaged POS. Although my engine still runs strong, it's been through a partial rebuild due to the timing chain breaking. I bought it at 180k with no prior history. Thank god its been reliable transportation the last 50k, but I don't want to be left stranded when my car decides to break down one day. I do some preventative maintenence, but on a car with so high miles, times not on my side.

I would prefer to get another e30 for peace of mind.
