My brother-in-law (NitroRustlerDriver) machined a new chassis for his RS4 out of 1/8th inch thick carbon fiber on the CNC at school, I'll probably have him do one for mine when I get it.

It is a Traxxas 4-tec, not a HPI RS4, and the chassis did not cut well at all so I won't be doing another. I killed two bits cuting that thing out and filled the whole tech lab full of smoke. :o

Also, from the look of a few pics I have seen, the tub chassis is only a flat plate with a lip aorund the edge for rigidity. With CF, it won;t be needed. I will have to see the car in preson though to see if that is the only issue.
