hey i have a question on your mod, I cant seem to break the 10 seconds with my MBM i used an aluminum bearing and didn't tighten it down all the way, do you think thats why my muffler bearing isn't letting me break the 10 second mark??? thanks in advance! ;)

        I'm hoping for a low 11, maybe a 10 if i spend a tiny bit on the motor :)

I haven't taken a swap car to the dragstrip, but most people are getting mid to upper 13s with an S50 swap.

I'm thinking of upgrading my M30E30 to stage II intercooled at 12psi. With that being said, i'm looking at the low 12's, high 11's.

I think mine was 30 minutes at about 5 miles an hour?
              Yours truly,

Weren't you going to remove the turbo so you could learn to drive? Now you are going to stage II?

                My friends 4psi (at the time, now at 15psi) S50 E30 did a 12.7 @ 119mph with a 2.6 second 60 foot and no traction into 5th gear.

                RISING EDGE

Let's drive fast and have fun.

I was thinking about it, that's all.
I'm not removing the turbo. I'm taking track classes at watkins glen and learning to control it. I rarely drive it on the street anymore and it's completely fixed.

You need to bypass the output flange so the bearing can spin freely inside the muffler

EXACTLY!!! another common mistake is that most people dont bother to pack the bearing but it netted about 15rwhp and increases the service life...

make sure you throw the retainer spring in with the bearing or you have a chance of it being blown out the exhaust.

If I had to do it again I'd just go to the dealer. Be sure to ask for the better upgraded e46 M3 muffler bearings(~$45 just ask for them - my good buddy works at the dealer and they stock them all the time.)
