From what I understand the massive charges in VA apply to "habitual offenders", or more specifically, people who have more than 8 points on their licence.
Yeah, you gotta be pretty dumb to constantly carry 8 pts on your licence.

As for the CA law, guess I better ease off on my "cruise to work" speed.

I will be driving speed limit in VA, even though the new laws dont affect me since I am from MD. But my reasoning is because VA has shitty roads and I only have 3.5" of oil pan clearance now. :)

VA fucking sucks anyways. Drunken post.

Oh and you're taking it rather well. I would be apeshit about paying more than $1,000 for a damn ticket.

Right. I forgot about that aspect of it. There are many people out there who think that being able to pay the fines gives them a license to speed.

I'm glad it's not like that in AL I have had way to many tickets and nothin has happen to me I just had the pay them and attend driving school a couple of times. My worst ticket was when I was doing 89 in a 45 tho in florida it was like 305 bucks but It was a county cop not a state cop so he marked it down to 59 in a 45 so it was only like 140 or 150 can't remember. sucked either way.
