Looks deep enough to me, if you land flat(purposely, no bellyflops) a foot or so of water is more than enough

oh man those pics bring me back. all i did growing up was skim board when there was no surf or it was high tied. we used to do stuff like the second one only on purpose. we would do front flips after launching off the skim board and the wave. i broke my first nice skimboard trying to do a back flip off a closeout shorebreak.

now i am in sd where there is surf and no need for other passtimes
