Or you could run your hood unlatched at the front

My vote is for bumping the rear of the hood up, and possibly even ducting some air straight toward the brake fluid reservoir!

Homer: Aw, putting speed holes in my car. Makes it go faster.

Ned: Is that so? Well, gee, maybe the old Flanders-mobile could use
        some

I stupidly put a reversed dent in my hood when my hood-hinge snapped and jutted through from below. I've been trying to figure out alternatives to getting an entirely new hood... Maybe a small vent like this would be the answer.

I put Lebaron turbo vents on my XJ. May you could run just one?

In the first post (white e30)that vent looks like the one in my riding mower. I mean, exactly.

for aesthetics, I'd go with something symmetrical no matter what.

For airflow, always keep in mind that air flows from a high pressure are to a low pressure area. Ram Air is basically nonsense. (Except when it lowers the temperature of the air charge ala e30 hibeam delete)

You probably want to take air from the high pressure hood air (see: cowl induction) as this will flow throughout the engine bay, turbo first. the air will exit through the bottom of the car, most likely.

I'd recommend a simple cutout of a triangle pointing forward, mirrored across the hood and covered with screen painted with trim paint to match the hood.

I have a good idea actually.

I'll post a writeup of sorts for those of you that need speedholes.
