What springs and shocks for ~400?

I need some help here. I know tokico makes a set for cheap - but does it suck?
I'm thinking vogtland springs on billy twin tubes. What do you guys think? Any other options other than save my money for H&Rs and Billy sports?

EDIT - I know the tokicos suck.

Just for reference - my front shocks are about 1/2 inch from the bump stops and i have major neg camber in the rear that caused a blowout yesterday. I need these ASAP.

      $400 for springs and shocks?

Even stock e30 m3 springs w/ Bilsteins will put you over that mark, not to mention a set of real lowering springs.

I am running Ground Control front and rear topside adjustable Koni's with H&R race springs and the set up was $1000 So far it seems to be a good setup

a set of bilsteins is $400 at the very cheapest. you could probably find used springs for $100 if you looked hard and got lucky, more likely $150 for used H&Rs though

I can get vogtlands for 180 shipped and Billy "tourings" for ~220 shipped.
I have the twin tubes on my other e30 and they arent terribly soft. It's just a daily driver so soft is fine anyways.

You need sport shocks to go with a drop.

Dude... H&R Sports and Bilsteins are about $200 more than that. You have to "save up" for that? Wait another week and your minimum wage job should be able to cover that!

Bring your stock springs over to my house, I'll hack a few coils off of them, give you a used pair of Bilsteins, and you can just give me the $400.

                  That's about what you'll get for $400.

I just bought a house - need to save cash. I'll just compress my shocks and put a bolt through them. no springs.

                      OK - so here's what I did.

                      e30 M3 Springs - $60
                      Billy Tourings - $205
Control arms and CABs - $120

I already have tie rod ends so I'm pretty much set. I had to keep telling myself this is my bronzit diving board daily - not some kind of decent car. Also, my 02 is my real toy - it's already lowered 2 inches w/ billy sports and eibachs plus its sporting all poly and 22/19 sways.

Do it right or don't do it at all. Patience is key man, I waited for deals on my Ground Control setup and Koni shocks. I paid $325 for the coilovers from a group buy on Bimmerforums. I paid for a Koni E30 setup from German eBay, sold the springs that came with it on eBay here, to make my shocks come to a total of $350.

Used the money I saved to buy RSM's and other vital bushing replacements. Took almost a year and half, but I waited for the right time, you should try and do the same. Not preachin', just my opinion on the matter. I see your point of view, so its not too bad though.

Dude im riding on my bump stops. I mean that literally. there is roughly 1/4 inch travel before I hit it. On left hand turns it handles great. lol.

PS I already paid for everything I posted. M3 springs, control arms, CABs, and billy twin tubes for 380 shipped. The guy with the m3 springs sold me some used muffler bearings for 20 bucks too. good deal.
