LOL, I am doing the same thing with my eta motor when it comes out in a few months. Crank shaft lamp anyone?Originally posted by cabriodster87"Honey? What color is this wire? There's no way to cut a block with anything that isn't a continuous blade saw. I.E. - A plasma cutter won't work because it only cuts up to a certain thickness. Same with any kind of air cutoff wheel. You won't be able to cut deep enough.
Best bet would be a BIG band saw. Keep it well lubricated and giver her hell. ;)
As far as a camshaft or crank, are you talking about cutting it lengthwise, or widthwise (shorten it)? The only hard part I see about cutting it lengthwise is clamping/holding it in place, given it's awkward shape.Comment

Pressure washers are no joke. Especially when you have a "0" nozzle. I used to work at an apartment complex and powerwashed a hole in the parking lot all the way into the dirt. lol. I think it was something like 3500 psi hot water."We praise or find fault, depending on which of the two provides more opportunity for our powers of judgement to shine."Comment

You should have gotten that checked out. Pressure washers have a warning about that because the potential of forcing air into your bloodstream is very likely in the event that you pierce the surface of your skin. My pressure washer even has a card that you are supposed to take to the emergency room with you so that they know exactly what you shot yourself with.Comment
