One thing that would be cool on an E30 also is the accessory power relay that they have on newer cars. This is the feature that allows the power accessories to still work after the car is turned off until you open the door. I can't recall the number of times where I go somewhere, shut the car off and then say to myself, "Oh crap, I forgot to roll the windows up, I gotta start the car again"

just turn the key to ign position II (on/run) without restarting. no need to waste gas or engine wear to roll up windows :p

I don't like sitting there and listening to that "diiiiing...diiiiing....dinnng...." as I roll the windows up. Plus I hear the fuel pump engage and different relays under the hood engage and it makes me feel bad for the car- Similar to when a woman teases you, gets you all hot and worked up, and then she decides that she really does not want to have sex.

I do not want to give my car blue-balls.

I'm going to roll with 1-touch windows... But somebody should definately do the dimming light thing. I was also thinking it would be cool to add something to a 1-touch window chip. On my e34, when you hold the key in the double lock position for a few seconds, it automatically rolls the windows up. That would be tits on an e30.

For real Question is ??? Is this mod specific to all e30's or just cabbie's or even early model coupes that have the popout rear 1/4 windows? I am just wanting to know a bit more info so I can futher my guess on what this must have mod is ?? I ask because so many have said suggestions that are specific to those models and not all e30's..... Thanks for any additional information that can be provided......
