differnences in m3 years???

    they started to make them in 1986. not that it makes mine worth anymore, just a cool fact for me, mine was the 303rd m3 sold. alot of parts on my car actually say 1985.

      that site says that an option on the evoIII was
      Sunroof, manual or electric (cost 745+ UK pounds in 1990)

      does that mean some of the m3's came with no sunroof,
      or did every one know that and i am retarded

          US cars came decked out with all options for the most part, as otherwise we Americans would not purchase one. In Europe, they were an option as was A/C and power steering and all the stuff we take for granted.

            The optioning out of US M3's did not have anything to do with marketing. I am sure they could have sold stripped versions here, especially once the public discovered the true nature of the beast.The fact is, this was a low production car that cost $1 million to federalize. BMW added all the options to increase the profits, otherwise, they would have lost money selling it in the US.
